duppdupp Gift Vouchers . . .at last

I designed these weeks ago but just hadn’t got the chance to get them onto the site. I think the problem is I spent too much time tweaking with how they look (typical ) anyway they’re up at www.duppdupp.com just in time for the final push towards Christmas.

There’s a different design for each denonimation and they start at just a fiver. I can personalise them and send them to the lucky recipient ribbon tied and at no extra cost!

I’m multi-tasking at the mo working on another design for The Knitter and making more needle cases so I’m off . . . .

PS Thanks Anne for the suggestion that I actually wear a pair of my fingerless mittens to combat the finger freeze I had last post. I think my brain must have been frozen too as it didn’t even cross my mind

New kits up at Kitglobal site

I’ve just finished working on the Kitglobal website, not only to give it a bit of a festive touch – only a bit mind – but also to add some new kits.

Following on from showing at Country Living last week I’ve taken on the Shetland Flame and Chunkywool designs that were previously available on the Kitglobal site. John and I thought they would be a lovely addition to the Kitglobal range as they offer more designs in less luxurious yarns but still offer great quality fibres. The new kit additions are also particularly good for beginner knitters but all of them make lovely presents! I’d love write more about the new yarns but my fingers are freezing and I can’t type anymore, try to stay warm.

Have a look at the new look site and kits here . . .

By the way Christmas is coming

We had a fantastic reaction to the Kitglobal range at the Country Living Fair which ended on Sunday. I always forget how much hard work shows like that are but the positive feedback made it worth it. I’ve recently taken on Knitglobal’s designs for the Shetland Flame and Chunkywool yarns which means a broader range of kits just in time for Christmas! I’m hoping to add to them Kitglobal site this week.  Will post then it’s done

Back from Bucks and the countdown continues

Country Living Fair Glasgow

I’m back from 2 weeks teaching the lovely 2nd year knit students on the BA Textiles course at Bucks New University down in High Wycombe. Going back there is like going home as I worked on the course for 8 years, if you’ve never heard of it you should have! It’s probably the best knitted textiles course in the UK directed by the ever inspiring and fabulous Ms Fiona Ross.

Anyway it’s exactly 2 weeks to Country Living Scotland for Kitglobal. As well as our first collection of designs we’ll also be showing a couple of new designs featuring a finer weight Baby Alpaca than the chunky we’ve used before plus a worsted spun cashmere which is SO soft  – you just have to come along and feel it for yourself. We’ll also have some new exciting new kits – more details closer to the show – AND a limited collection of ready to wear fashion accessories knitted / woven in Baby Alpaca. All in all a lovely selection, perfect gifts, should be a good show –  now if I could just work out how to fit everything onto the stand . . . .

Oh yes, we’ll be on Stand D19 and we’d love to see you there
