New website is up at last!

After a LOT of tinkering and gnashing of teeth my new website is now up and online. I decided to do away with duppdupp because together with books written as ‘Jeanette Trotman’ and designs published as ‘Jeanette Sloan’ it was all feeling a bit disjointed so as well as giving the glob a facelift www.jeanettesloandesign.com is the name of my new website and where I’ll be selling both pdfs of my designs and yarns online. Having designed and built the site I know it inside out so if you have a look around it and want to offer some feedback, feel free and enjoy

It’s been a while . . .

but I haven’t been slacking, I’ve been working on my new website and thought I’d just about cracked it but it seems my computer has other ideas as there’s one particular link that just isn’t playing ball. Why is technology so damn temperamental?!!!! Anyway, I have managed to update the ‘my designs’ page with the last few published designs here

This week’s capers

Another week and another long list of ‘To Dos’ to do. Top of the list will be putting the last finishing touches to my new website and working on a new collection of designs for an exciting new yarn range that’s due to be launched next month – fingers crossed.

New design for Marie Curie Cancer Care

Last year as part of kitglobal I designed a kit for Marie Curie Cancer Care which they sold through their website and catalogue to raise money for the brilliant work they do. Cancer has played a pretty big part in my life unfortunately but I’m still here and this is a lovely way of doing my bit. Well I’m pleased to say they’ve asked me to do another one this year and it’s now available!

This time we decided to offer 2 options in the kit which comes in a very pretty gingham bag which matches the other products in their crafty kit range.

There’s the choice of either a pair of fingerless mitts ( you can never have too many of them, my hands are always cold) or a lacy snood. The kit comes with needles, Baby Alpaca yarn and full pattern instructions ( plus of course the pretty bag ) and costs £24.00 direct from the Marie Curie online shop which you can find here.

Just a quickie

I haven’t posted in AGES so here’s a very quick one. I’m busy working on a new website and a collection of designs for a new yarn range which we’re hoping to launch next month all going well. I also need to do a more in depth post about my last few published designs so whilts this post is short and sweet, the next one will make up for it
