Summer. . .what Summer?

Well what laughingly passed for Summer in Scotland is over and it’s back to short dark days and cold rain. On the up side that means it’s proper knitting weather! Not much consolation I’m sure but I’ve just added lots more bargains to the duppdupp store on Ebay, have a look at them here.

For the love of Uma

Red magazine is great because for me it has a pretty perfect balance of fashion, food, health & beauty.

To cap it all this month they’ve not only interviewed Hollywood actress Uma Thurman who talks about the man in her life and her love of knitting but Red’s own Interiors & Food Director Mary Norden mentions she’s been knitting   ‘stylish knitting kits from Kitglobal’  in her ‘This month, Mary has been . . . ‘ item.

The Knitter Loves . . . duppdupp!

TKN loves

‘The Knitter’ magazine loves these fab ‘Wheel’ Shell buttons which recently arrived in stock at www.duppdupp.com . I could easily spend a fortune ( if I had one ) on buttons as I’ve always felt that they really ‘make or break’ the look of a garment or accessory. These buttons are part of the latest collection that I’ve bought in really limited numbers so I’m not exaggerating when I say get them before they’re gone. I was really keen to find big, beautiful & unusual styles in various finishes – etched shell, printed nut, printed metal, transparent with a print . . in fact the best thing is to just have a look!

By the way I’ve got this particular design in 2 sizes – XLarge or Small.

Kitglobal, Knitting magazine September issue 2009

Alfiereview

I was chuffed to bits that the ‘Alfie’ Mock Cable Scarf made the magazine’s Product Roundup as they gave us a fantastic review. The Baby Alpaca that we use in our kits is easily the softest alpaca I’ve ever worked  with and  we’ve worked really hard to ensure every kit is really good value for money. The down side is that they’ve entitled it ‘6 of the Best: knit kits under £25.00’ when the actual price of the kit is £28.00. For that price though you do get 200g of fab yarn, a pair of lovely bamboo needles, pattern instructions and a lovely Kitglobal ‘kit’ bag to put your work in whilst you’re knitting. I’ve been assured there’ll be a correction in the next issue of ‘Knitting’
